Life is Beautiful
Life is full of many ups and downs. For a while I struggled to see the beauty of life consistently. This is a project exploring the depths and heights of what it means to always maintain a passion for life that burns brightly. I want to explore this through 2 characters and their opposing outlooks in life. Through these opposing ideas, the characters will be challenged with whether they can maintain both outlooks in life, or give up one (or both).
Currently, this page will have videos and images that are snippets of the full project. These are to give insights into my story-making process. Eventually I will have my first short-film on here too.
"望" hope and aspiration
The Mask
This mask was made to reflect the struggle of being able to see the beauty in one's self, and in life. The emotional wounds we have internally can leave us feeling as though we're bleeding out through our feelings. We all hold a universe within ourselves and have a universe to explore all around us. Life is often relentless in the challenges we face, but we can still attempt to heal from our wounds and enjoy the beauty that life offers us.
Selene
Each day feels as turbulent as the stormy seas for Selene. A new challenge, a new loss, a new fear to be faced, day in and day out. Yet he treks on, seeking a purpose to these trials and trying his best to discover the destination ahead of him.
Helion
Burning with confidence and filled to the brim with his ego, Helion believes in such thing as failure, loneliness or fear. He believes he is enough on his own to accomplish anything and everything. Reliance on anything means weakness. And that's not good enough for the man who believes he's a genius unlike any other.
